My mother and I were working for the same company. She was manager and I was a cook. She worked for the company for over 20 years. It was sold because the old owners wanted to retire.
Things were going ok till my mother got sick. She has severe authoritis, and was on Nsaids for pain relief. She got progressivly sicker, because she was more worried about taking care of her manageial duties, than taking care of herself. She ended up being rushed to the hospital with a bleeding ulcer, and almost died.
She was unable to work for some time afte that, but she was assured her job was safe.
three days before she was supposed to go back to work, she was fired.
I was fired about 2 months later.
We have unemployed ever since, and have not been able to find work.
Her health has worsened, and I have been trying to get a business off the ground.
However, our unemployment has run out, and we are going to be eveivted soon if we can't make rent.
I have been despritly trying to find an investor to fund my business start up, but banks wont talk to me, and private investors are hard to find.
Right now I have a website for my music up and running, and not much else except my plan. I want despritly to be able to take care of my mother, because her pain is too much for her to go back into the workforce, and she has been unable to get funding to go back to school.
I honestly am at my wits end. I have spent the last year working on my business plan, and have it locked down solid. If I had the funding I needed, it could be a multi-millin dollar business in a few years. I have the knowlage, and skills I just don't have the money.
Seeing NASA crashing a 270 million dollar system, and all the other wasteful spending I see has started to make me very bitter and angry.
I only need $200,000 to cover everything for the first year of operations, and people still spend more than that on cars every day.
